CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (THOMAS LEWIS WAY SOUTHERN LINK ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (023/23) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2012 Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 30th May 2012. 1 The effect of the Order will be to close Thomas Lewis Way Southern Link Road from its junction with Thomas Lewis Way to its junction with Portswood Road. 2 The Order is required to allow gas main replacement works to be carried out. 3 The alternative route will be via Mayfield Road, Portswood Road, St Denys Road and Thomas Lewis Way and vice versa. 4 The Order comes into force on 1st June 2012 and it is anticipated that the work will take 9 weeks to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 3rd August 2012 or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
