CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (WINCHESTER ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (029/23) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2012 Southampton City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE THAT, in accordance with section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the Council made the following Order on 20th June 2012. 1 The effect of the Order will be to close: (a) Seagarth Lane from its junction with Winchester Road to just past its junction with Winchester Road, (b) Seymour Road from its junction with Winchester Road to just past its junction with Winchester Road, (c) Luccombe Road from its junction with Winchester Road to just past its junction with Winchester Road. 2 The Order is required to allow Gas Mains Replacement works to be carried out. 3 The alternative route will be: (a) Winchester Road, Malvern Road, Seymour Road, Malwood Avenue and vice versa, (b) Winchester Road, Malvern Road, Seymour Road and vice versa, (c) Winchester Road, St James Road, Bellemoor Road and Winchester Road, Hill Lane and Warwick Road. 4 The Order comes into force on 23rd June 2012 and it is anticipated that the work will take four weeks to complete. The Order will therefore cease to have effect on 23rd July 2012 or on completion of the works, whichever is later.
