A SPECIALIST manufacturer based in Hampshire has marked 50 years in business.

P.A. Hilton Ltd, near Stockbridge, produces engineering teaching equipment for universities and educational institutions across the globe – just the type of export-led manufacturing the coalition hopes can pull the UK out of recession.

The company was registered in 1962 by Mr Paul A. Hilton and celebrations this autumn saw visits from distributers across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and Europe.

Visitors were given product training by the sales and technical teams, but it wasn’t all business – there was fly-fishing on the River Test and a garden party involving staff both past and present.
