THE award winning High Wycombe Music Centre Concert Band was one of the highlights of Scannappeal’s annual Christmas Concert at St Mary’s Church in Amersham.

About 300 guests were treated to festive readings, plus music and carols from the Concert Band and other talented performers including Amersham A Cappella and the choir of Seer Green School, who gave a rendition of Silent Night in German.

The concert raised £3,000for Scannappeal’s ongoing appeal for vital medical equipment for the Bucks Neurorehabilitation Unit based at Amersham Hospital.

The Unit ensures that patients from across Buckinghamshire with brain injuries from heart attack, stroke, illness and trauma make the best possible recovery and is one of only a few such dedicated units in the country. The concert was sponsored by Binks Estate Agents.
