TWO top choirs join forces for a Christmas concert tomorrow with festive favourites and a chance for their audience to join in with some popular carols.
The ladies of the Hadleigh-based Orpheus Singers have teamed up with the gents of the Leigh Orpheus male Voice Choir for the double seasonal occasion, which will see them joining in voice for the fourth year running at the popular event – with two performances throughout the day.
They’ll sing their way through a series of favourite Christmas carols, in perfect harmony, as well as some festive arrangements from John Rutter to Schubert and Handel’s famous Hallelujah Chorus.
And song-loving audience members will also be able to take part if they like with carol sheets provided to encourage singalongs.
The Orpheus Singers and the Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir will perform at Sweyne Park School, Sir Walter Raleigh Drive, Rayleigh on Saturday, December 22, at 3pm and 7pm. Tickets are £8/£7 concession or £4 for under 16s at 3pm performance only. Call 01268 771213 or 01702 547315 or visit www.theorpheussingers.co.uk
