A WINCHESTER hotel is celebrating winning two awards in 24 hours.

The Holiday Inn was awarded a silver for Sustainable Tourism at The Beautiful South Awards, which recognises businesses and destinations across the tourism industry for their customer service and high standards.

Within a matter of hours, the Holiday Inn was being recognised again at a ceremony in Dublin.

On behalf of her team, general manager Siobhan Thomasson accepted The Priority Club Members Award for the highest level of excellence in customer loyalty.

She said: “To win this award for the second consecutive year is a real achievement and it shows our commitment to customer service and loyalty.”

Sales manager Sarah Waddington received the The Beautiful South Award on behalf of the Holiday Inn.

“Many of our hotel visitors are now choosing our hotel based upon its ‘green’ credentials and the award will also highlight the hotel as the first UK four star ‘new generation’ Holiday Inn.

“The Holiday Inn Winchester is delighted to be recognised in this way,” she said.

The award was presented by Tourism South East’s chairman, Ken Robinson, and Heart FM presenter Toby Anstis.
