Two authors are to sign copies of their new book on the history of how parts of Essex became incorporated into London at an event later this month.
Andrew Summers and John Debenham will be on-hand to discuss and sign their work 'Metropolitan Essex' at the Village Bookshop in High Road, Woodford Green, on Saturday June 22.
The book examines how the London boroughs of Newham, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest were created in the 1960s, and why many people still describe the regions as being part of Essex even today.
The event takes place between 1pm and 3pm.
