MORE than 140 business people across the south attended an annual drinks party with a difference – a fun opportunity to interact with science and travel at the speed of light into the universe.
The event, hosted by the south coast office of accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson, took place at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, Morn Hill, near Winchester.
Over drinks and canapés, guests immersed themselves in dozens of hands-on exhibits before being whisked off deep into digital space with two breathtaking live shows at the UK’s largest-capacity planetarium.
Richard Green, Smith & Williamson’s managing partner at the 50-strong Southampton-based practice, said: “The venue was stunning and thought-provoking, providing our guests with a memorable evening in which to celebrate success and innovation.”
Previous venues for Smith & Williamson’s annual drinks party have included the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth and the National Motor Museum in the New Forest.
Smith & Williamson provides a range of services to businesses and individuals, including accountancy, business assurance, audit, tax, corporate and financial advisory, restructuring, recovery and forensic.
