A SOUTHAMPTON apprentice has been shortlisted for a prestigious manufacturing award.
Louis Moult, a final year apprentice at Vector Aerospace International could take home a gong from the EEF/Aldermore Future Manufacturing Awards.
Louis, from Shirley, is in the running for the Outstanding Performance by a Final Year Apprentice Award, sponsored by JAM Recruitment.
He was shortlisted after impressing judges with his dedication and determination to pursue a career in manufacturing.
The 21-year-old said: “I’ve learned so much during my apprenticeship and this is the icing on the cake. The recognition means a lot to me, but more importantly I’m on a career path that I enjoy and where my achievements are being valued.”
Louis will find out if he has won the regional title at a ceremony in Weybridge in February and, if successful, will then compete with other finalists from across the UK for the national title in April.
