WINCHESTER is sure to become alive with colour when the annual fashion show comes to town.

Now in its fifth year Winchester Fashion Week will turn the High Street into the catwalks of Paris, London and Milan from April 21-25.

To celebrate its return, organisers are giving everyone who buys a ticket a chance to win a trip to the Italian capital.

Hampshire Life, Hotel du Vin, the Independent Holiday Shop have stepped forward to help with the organisation of the event, run by Winchester Business Improvement District (BID) and sponsored by the University of Winchester.

Catherine Turness, BID manager said: “Winchester boasts a diverse offering of retailers with an exciting mix of small independents and larger chain stores, it’s fantastic to see these businesses showcased throughout the week dedicated to fashion, beauty, lifestyle and creativity in our wonderful city.

“Winchester Fashion Week also provides us with the opportunity to engage with students from both the University of Winchester and Winchester School of Art and nurture the creative talent we have developing right here in the city.”

The city will see five days of workshops, lectures, style advice sessions and shopping experiences, culminating in a glamorous Catwalk Show at the Guildhall on Saturday, April 25.

It will contain a cross-section of independent and national brands, including LK Bennett, Phase Eight, Jigsaw and Jeremy France Jewellers.
