A LEADING bank is once again lending its support to an awards event which celebrates hard working businesses.

Santander will return as the official judging partner for the event which sees the achievements of firms and companies in the region showcased.

Alex Fuller, regional director for Santander Corporate and Commercial, said: “Each year the awards grows in stature, from the number of applications, nominations and amazing success stories that exist within the Solent region.

“It’s great to be part of this and most importantly to have an award ceremony where we can hear all the positive things that are happening locally.”

Companies are preparing for the highlight of the business calendar – the – which casts the best of the region’s leading firms into the spotlight.

There will be eight categories to be won on the night which each highlight different aspects of business excellence at the event which is aimed at, encouraging competition and raising standards.

Awards include the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award and the Smith and Williamson Award for Best International Performance by a South Coast company.

The Daily Echo is running the annual event in association with leading law firm Trethowans, in partnership with Business South, Destination Southampton and judging partner Santander.

Denise Edghill of Southampton City Council will chair the judging meetings.
