PORT connectivity was the topic of much discussion in Southampton when Sir John Randall made a visit this week.
Sir John, who is heading up a study into port connectivity on behalf of the Department for Transport, came to ABP Southampton to quiz the management team.
Sue Simmonite, Environment Manager, said: “It was great to be able to welcome Sir John and brief him about the crucial role the Port of Southampton plays in supporting British manufacturers and exporters.”
As part of his visit, Sir John and his team boarded a patrol launch to see the port operations from the water.
During Sir John’s political career as an MP he sat on the Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Select Committee.
