SINGERS from the London Community Gospel Choir sang O, Happy Day as they provided an inspirational backdrop for the Hendy Group's annual sales awards.

Steve Swash, who works at Hendy Ford in Fareham, won the Group Retail Sales Executive Award, with Alan Sibley, from Hendy Group Winchester, runner-up.

Richard Hannigan, from the company's Chandler's Ford centre, won Commercial Sales of the Year and Alison Johnstone, also from Chandler's Ford, was named Administrator of the Year.

The awards were presented by MD, Paul Hendy.

Employing more than 900 people, the Hendy Group operates Ford, Mazda, Honda and Kia car franchises throughout the south, together with LDV van and Iveco truck sales, used car supermarkets and a Power Products operation.
