MOBILE phone giant Three has completed a £15.5m six-month extension to its Hampshire network.

The county is one of the first to benefit from a UK-wide network expansion to “significantly improve” coverage of high speed mobile broadband, data and voice calls.

A total of 580 sites are now being used across south Hampshire, providing coverage to nearly one million people in Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight, Local engineer Three Mike Catney said: “We can now safely say that whether you are sailing at Cowes week or walking around WestQuay shopping centre, Three has got you covered.”
