The Ship Inn, Woolston The Ship Inn, Woolston

A POPULAR Southampton pub has been put up for sale.

The Ship Inn, in Victoria Road, Woolston, above, is on the market with a guide price of £350,000.

The pub is located opposite the new Crest Nicholson Centenary Quay development, which will provide new homes, retail space, restaurants and a supermarket.

Owners Punch Taverns have appointed international real estate advisor Savills to find a buyer for the two-storey building, which also has the potential to be redeveloped into a residential property.

Begs the question, if it's popular why is it being sold? I haven't been in there for about 20 years so it can't be that popular surely!

Would be a great site for a block of flats. Sure it wont be long.

Someone should buy it in time for the new development to be finished, then all the 'TO LET' signs can go and have a drink.

Shame as it used to be a decent boozer, but given it's a Punch owned gaff, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
