Petrol station plans face decision Petrol station plans face decision

At least 39 objections have been made by residents and planners have recommended the bid by Sainsbury’s is refused because of the disturbance it would cause and highway safety fears.

The article syas St Denys Road, the Company involved is Sainsurys who have a store in St denys Road which has unused land on its property just big enough to have a petrol station, it has always been their intention to have a petrol station there but kept it quiet as it would have effected their initial application.

This will be great especially if their opening hours get extended to 11pm.
There used to be a fuel station down the road near Thomas Lewis Way.
Gives more choice for locals who can choise to vist when quieter traffic times.
Have not seen any que's apart from tail backs from Cobden Bridge rush hour.
Yes please Sainsbury's.
Puts Portswood more on the map.

I'm pretty sure the plan is for the Chevrolet Garage on the corner of Thomas Lewis Way not on the main store site... well it was when the original plans were submitted anyway.
