The miner was moments away from beating Thatcher just 2 days.

No worries that your own livelihood would be threatened by bad management, I am prejudging you but you, and a couple of others on here, don't give the impression that they have ever had bad times, in which case consider yourself lucky. Others that are not so fortunate have to fight for their rights, not every employer is honest, not every employer is good at management. The best companies are the ones that work with the Unions so that the best of Conditions ensures a work force that wants to do their best for the Company that they work for.

Don't know if you're referencing me in there somewhere or not, but I for one have definitely faced - and suffered - redundancy, and certainly had bad times. At no point did I think "but I have a right to this job!" My employer had to make cuts, and I was part of that. I just took the hit and moved on. Here's the cherry on top: every single time, I moved on to a better job.

Workers also need to learn that those cooperatives when successful will have capitalist vultures circuling over them. This strike is the exact opposite of trying to make a real change, though. It's a desperate attempt to keep things exactly as they are, even though that is untenable. Effecting real change would be realising their efforts are better spent elsewhere.
