Rownhams motorway services on the westbound M27 has opened its doors after a £1.2m revamp bringing 70 jobs.
Roadchef, operator of the service area, has invested in a new-look exterior to the building, the opening of a McDonald’s restaurant, a Costa coffee outlet, and an own-brand restaurant, Restbite.
A new gaming area has also been installed.
Mark Densley, site director, said: “We have come up with, what we believe to be, one of the strongest food and drink offerings on the motorway.
“Our ultimate aim is to highlight to our customers that at Rownhams we provide the full package when it comes to catering – choice, quality, speed and value – so if they’re in need of a break on the M27, they can get everything they want from us”.
