Restaurant voted one of top ten in country
11:17am Wednesday 27th June 2012 in Business
THEY produce some of the most authentic Italian food in Britain.
Staff at a restaurant in Southampton are celebrating today after being voted among the top ten in the country.
Ennios Al Porto in Town Quay Road is the seventh best trattoria in England according to the Bertolli Spread Olive D’Oro and BBC Good Food campaign.
Manager Christopher Harrison said: “I am really gobsmacked. We usually win in Hampshire but to be voted among the top in England is sensational and really good for Southampton.”
Villa Romana in Fareham also made the top ten, coming ninth in the national vote.
Its manager Maurizio Dipancrazio said: “We are really pleased because it shows hard work pays off and that our customers appreciate that.”

It must have changed a lot then. Unfortunately my, one and only ever visit was several years ago when we were served microwaved, defrosted lasagne swimming in water. If they have turned it round since then, I congratulate them.
