THE return of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race to Southampton provided a boon for a city catering and bar management firm.
As exclusive race village caterers for the event, Wise Group provided food and drinks for race crews, their families and hundreds of visitors, as the fleet returned to finale celebrations in Ocean Village .
The group’s events bar management brand sold a mammoth 10,000 pints of beer along with glasses of Pimm’s, wines and spirits.
Its Wise Catering arm served over 3,000 covers comprising race crews, their families and guests in the VIP hospitality areas at Ocean Village and the SeaCity Museum .
Chris Treacher, managing director, said: “It was great to be associated with the Clipper Race and recognised as the exclusive race village caterers.”
Wise Catering and Events Bar Management operate from purposebuilt premises in Woolston . It also caters for private and public events and is exclusive caterer to the Southampton Boat Show .
