Winchester Guildhall can cater for conferences, weddings, celebrations, receptions and any number of other functions.

The Guildhall was built in 1871 and over the years has been home to Winchester's law courts, museum, library and police station. In 1985 the Guildhall underwent an extensive refurbishment combining the old with the new to create a modern conference venue within an historic building.

We are your complete venue for parties, conferences, meetings, banquets, exhibitions, dances, concerts and much more in between.

Winchester Guildhall offers a unique combination of function rooms ranging in size and character, all furnished to a high standard and equipped with modern facilities. The King Alfred Hall is one of the largest function rooms in Hampshire and can accommodate a wide range of events seating up to a capacity of 620.

Day Delegate Packages

Our Day Delegate Packages are designed to suit any budget and style of conference and in many cases offer a much more affordable option to booking a meeting. Please request a detailed costing for your event.

We currently have three day delegate packages as follows:

  • St Cross Package at £40 per person
  • St Giles Package at £50 per person
  • St Catherines Package at £60 per person

These rates are inclusive of VAT

London Waterloo (1 hour), Southampton Airport Parkway (15 minutes) and Bournemouth (45 minutes). Winchester Station is approximately a 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride.

By air

Southampton International, Bournemouth International, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports all have excellent rail and coach links to Winchester.
