BUSINESS South is keen to honour businesses that have demonstrated real commitment to their region as an employer, or by getting involved with their community.

The judges, including Geoff Paterson from Business South, will be looking for a firm that shows it has supported skills development through local education or mentoring, given jobs to local people and graduates and expanded business in the region.

They are also looking for high staff retention, the use of local supply chains and those who showcase the area as a great place to work.

Chief executive of Business South, Sally Lynskey, said: “Business South is proud to champion all that is great about our region and we are delighted to sponsor this award.

“Some of our region’s success stories involve businesses that have stayed in the region and grown by employing local talent, while developing and sustaining local suppliers.

“These businesses are a credit to their region and we look forward to rewarding their commitment.”

Southampton Hoteliers Association scooped the Business South award last year.
