ONE of Hampshire’s biggest car firms has upped the stakes in the battle for new car sales.
Picador Vauxhall, who have showrooms in Sholing, Chandler’s Ford, Botley, Portswood and Winchester, is offering the same discounts to the general public that normally only Vauxhall employees enjoy.
This four-day discount deal, available until Monday, is usually only available to the staff of Vauxhall UK and allows a new Vauxhall to be bought with over £6,000 off the recommended retail price.
Now, anybody and everybody will be able to take advantage of the same discount along with the current offers already available at Picador, like nought per cent finance, the scrappage allowance (which runs out at the end of this month), and loyalty discounts for existing Vauxhall drivers.
Picador Vauxhall have seen very promising sales growth in recent months. The scrappage scheme has been well received, and new models like the Vauxhall Insignia and new Astra have been very popular with motorists. In addition, well priced consumer offers have led to what the south coast dealer group will be very robust 10 plate registration figures.
Chief executive, Graham Jacobs, said: “We are seeing a flurry of activity from customers who want to take advantage of the scrappage scheme before it ends this month and we have had a couple of very successful sales events where many customers have bought a brand new car for an extraordinarily low price. The event this weekend, promises to do the same”.
Picador anticipate high levels of demand until Sunday and are asking customers to book their appointment so they don’t miss out. Visit www.picadorplc.co.uk for more details.
