THIS is the new face of Southampton Airport, which has abandoned its old strapline of the Fast track Airport and is now inviting passengers to Breeze through its terminal.
Research suggested that the term 'fast track' failed to emphasise the airport's attributes.
A spokesman said: "The aim is to capture the easy, fast and friendly benefits of using Southampton Airport in a simple way. In essence, the airport offers a Breeze Through experience that aims to be smooth, hassle-free and enjoyable."
The marketing appears to be surplus to requirements after the latest figures from parent BAA showed Southampton to be the fastest growing of all its seven UK airports. More than 173,000 people travelled from the airport in April, a rise of 9.4 per cent on last year.
Are they mad? Fast Track said it all and the airport generally lived up to that.
Breeze Through - What a crock. Still at least it is not public money being wasted.
