SCHOOL may be out for most kids, but a group of Hampshire youngsters have been spending their holidays back in class.
But the children taking part in a summer workshop were more likely to be dancing on their desks than chained to them, as they filmed an adaptation of the hit film High School Musical 2.
Southampton-based TV, film and drama school Youngstar staged a five-day course for 20 boys and girls aged between nine and 13, at Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley.
Later this year they will get to see themselves in their own take on the popular Disney movie on the big screen, at a special showing at Harbour Lights Cinema.
"They've had three days learning acting for TV and film and then two days filming with a professional film crew," said Youngstar's Louisa Hart.
"It's fun and something for them to do in the school holidays and bit of entertainment for them in the holidays when they're bored."
