THERE has been significant improvement in the results at Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill, which saw both its pass rates jump on last year, the first since the merger of Oaklands and Millbrook schools.
The proportion of students gaining five or more five A* to Cs has gone from 50 per cent to 64 per cent, while the number getting the top grades including maths and English has leapt from 26 per cent to 40 per cent.
Principal Ian Golding said, “This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reward for all the students, parents and carers and staff who have worked so hard throughout the year.
“The academy has made a significant leap forward this year but, whilst we are hugely encouraged by these results, we remain totally committed to driving up standards relentlessy year on year. We want to transform the aspirations and achievement of all of our students and recognise this is just one step along that path.”
