THE next lambing weekend at Sparsholt College near Winchester will be held on Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29.
The college has around 350 ewes and the new arrivals will be overseen by students led by shepherd John Garrett.
Other activities over the weekend will include ‘hug a husky’, milking, dog agility and farrier demonstrations.
Face painting, craft activities and exploring tractors and farm machinery will also be available to keep children amused.
The college will be open from 9.30am to 3.30pm and entry costs £5 or £3.50 for under-16s. Family passes are available.
Dogs are not allowed, and pregnant women are advised to stay away as there is a risk of disease in lambing that can lead to miscarriage.
