The effectiveness of care, guidance and support, as well as safeguarding procedures were given top grades in the report, which adds that the school is well placed to continue improving.

Inspectors said teaching is good, and the curriculum links subjects together while concentrating on building pupils’ skills in maths and English.

“This is a good school with a reputation in the local community for its caring ethos,” wrote inspector Michael Barron.

“It provides a good education for pupils and prepares them well for the next stage of their education.”

Delighted head teacher, Anne Neale was described as “dedicated” by inspectors, who praised her clear vision and direction for the school.

Mrs Neale said: “I am extremely pleased that Ofsted has recognised the quality of education that the school provides and the commitment and dedication of all associated with the school.”

Far too often we are told about schools that are failing our children.

What a refreshing change it is to hear about a school that is doing well and getting good results.

Hats off to all involved and well done!
