THESE two friendly felines are looking for their forever homes.

After being taken in by an animal lover, the pair are now desperate to find new permanent owners.

Lizzie and Cokie were both rescued from an abusive home a year ago, suffering cruelty and neglect.

It has taken a year for them both to feel completely comfortable around people but now they are ready.

Valerie Collis, of Southampton, is trying to help the rescued pair, who are both approximately 12 years old, find their home and said they both respond very well to love and attention and they both have sweet affectionate characters which are shining through as they begin to feel more confident around people.

Valerie is surprised that they have been overlooked for so long and sad they are lovely cats who would make delightful pets as they would appreciate a happy future with new owners.

They would need to be the only pets in a household and would be happy to be separated as well.

They would need patient owners who are willing to help them re-build their confidence and would love a garden to explore in.
