CROWDS of villagers packed out their local recreation ground for a day of fun.
Stubbington Fair celebrated its tenth anniversary when it was held on August 31, 1988.
A marching band entertained the masses with their music, whilst the donkey derby provided exciting rides for youngsters – many of which were garbed in fancy dress.
Veteran cars gave adults something to marvel at, whilst others teamed up with their kids for the four-legged races.
The fair was opened by Miss Fareham, Denise Oppizzi, who arrived at the ground with an attendant in a Rolls Royce.
The event was sponsored by Fareham Lions Club and raised money for local charities.
