FOR 17 years Sally Taylor has been the face of BBC South Today, presenting and reporting on major local and national events.
During that time she has also filmed reports for the National Lottery programme, had her own show on Radio Solent, presented on Radio 4 and found time to write a weekly column for the Daily Echo's Weekend magazine.
She is also a familiar face among the region's sailing community.
Taylor's services to broadcasting have earned her an MBE as well as a nominations for a BBC Ruby Award and the Best Regional Presenter gong at the National Radio and Television Awards.
In 1999 the she underwent surgery for breast cancer and is now heavily involved in a number of charities, including Simon Says, a charity that helps bereaved children.
