The Daily Echo is continuing our look at lost pubs in Southampton which have closed down - now from the Target to the Wonder Inn.

They were all focal points for their communities during their time, and the loss of the traditional boozer is often lamented.

Thanks to Dave Goddard and Jim Brown, we are continuing our series of images of old pubs of Southampton.

The pair are authors of the book Southampton's Lost Pubs, which was published in 2014.

Here in the gallery above, we have pubs from T to W that are no longer with us in the city.

It follows on from the four previous parts, which you can find below:

• Southampton's lost pubs part one - in pictures >>

• Southampton's lost pubs part two - in pictures >>

• Southampton's lost pubs part three - in pictures >>

• Southampton's lost pubs part four - in pictures >>

Some were sold because the owners could get more money for housing, others because landlords could no longer afford the expensive rents and costs of running a pub, while others may have simply seen their trade dry up.

This is the last planned collection, but we are still asking for your photos of pubs that we have not featured.

A number of readers have already sent in their photos - these will be collated into a gallery soon, too.

If you have any - from Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham, the New Forest and beyond - and we have not already featured the pub, send it to dan.kerins@dailyecho.co.uk.
