SAINT George’s Day may sometimes seem a little less celebrated than St Patrick’s Day – but that’s not necessarily the case for Hampshire’s youngsters.

It’s the day of the year when children take part in parades through various parts of the county to celebrate our national identity.

In front of audiences, often in it’s hundreds, young Beavers, Rainbows, Brownies, Rangers, Cubs, Scouts, Guides and Venture Scouts get together to sing at the tops of their voices for the special occasion.

Through the years, parades have taken place in Netley Abbey, Titchfield Abbey, Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Lyndhurst, Winchester, Romsey and more.
