IT’S a hi-tech stateof- the-art complex with a helicopter garage that would make a perfect luxury play pad for a James Bond villain.

The New Forest hideaway, dubbed Eclipse, has been put on to the market with a £12m price tag as Hampshire’s most expensive property.

The newly built ultramodern home, described as a “once in lifetime opportunity”, even tops the best properties up for sale on the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula in Dorset.

Set on the banks of the Beaulieu River in 27 acres of parkland grounds near Exbury it boasts the latest in design technology and every luxury a discerning wealthy buyer could wish for, including a hangar for a helicopter.

The house, designed by the Bournemouth office of SMC Charter Architects, comes with five bedroom suites, each with balconies, a roof terrace, indoor pool, gymnasium, home cinema and media room.

The main facade of the house boasts a curved wall, with views to the river and which is bathed in afternoon and evening sun.

Within the grounds horse-riding, fishing and sailing are all catered for.

The property comes with stable and paddocks, tennis courts and a 40-metre hard jetty.

The house is accessed by a tree-lined carriage drive.

Plans for the house, on the site of the former American colonial-style Gilbury Farm House, which was demolished, were approved by the National Park Authority five years ago.

Land Registry records show the property is owned by businessman David Clark and Nataly Conrich- Clark, who paid £3.1m for Gilbury House in 2006 before winning planning consent to build Eclipse.

The home is being marketed by the Winchester and London offices of property agents Knight Frank.
