LITERARY GREATS HONOURED AT NEW HOMES VENTURE
12:23pm Friday 18th May 2012
Developer Redrow Homes is launching its Abbotts Walk venture in Worthy Road this weekend (May 26-27) and among the house designs being built are properties called the ‘Austen’ and ‘Keats’ .
Helen McGill, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “As the city and the surrounding area inspired a wealth of literary classics - from Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility to John Keats’ Ode To Autumn – we’ve honoured Austen and Keats by naming homes in their memory. We’re sure local people will be interested to discover who and what else has been acknowledged in this way.”
Featuring a good mix of properties with one to five bedrooms, Redrow’s new Abbotts Walk development will offer buyers plenty of choice.
Helen added: “The launch of Abbotts Walk has been eagerly awaited and we’ve a database of more than 100 people who have already registered their interest in the development. The number of people keen to find out more demonstrates there’s a demand for new homes in this part of Winchester. “The variety of homes available means there will be something for almost every buyer and budget, so a visit to the marketing suite is a must for anyone who looking for a new home in the area.”
The development will feature bespoke homes, designed and built with pride by Redrow’s skilled team of craftsmen.
Kitchens are at the heart of the homes and will be well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances, including microwave, oven and fridge freezer, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers. Bathrooms and en-suites will boast quality fixtures and fittings.
The new homes will be built on just half of the 10-acre parcel of land. The remainder will provide five acres of open space and mature woodland, plus a children’s play area.
Located on the North Eastern side of Winchester, in the Abbotts Barton area, Abbotts Walk is ideally situated for local shops and schools. With easy access to the A34 and M3 and with Winchester train station just over a mile away, the homes offer a good base for commuters working in London or on the South Coast.
The marketing suite at Abbotts Walk opens this weekend (May 26-27) from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information about the homes available, call 01604 609 134 or see www.redrow.co.uk/abbotts.
