Local building contractor and developer Drew Smith Group have continued their partnership with Rose Road Association by helping to launch their new appeal “Building a New Future at Rose Road”.

Some of the charity’s wonderful young people were the stars of the show during a visit to the Southampton head office of Drew Smith this week, to celebrate their collaboration for the new appeal.  The two organisations share many similar values & ambitions and have been working together since the turn of the year; an association launched by Drew Smith’s shareholders to celebrate it’s 25 years in business.

Drew Smith celebrated the first phase of its commitment to the Rose Road by presenting a cheque in the sum of £25,000.00 to mark the company’s 25th year in business.  Drew Smith have been busy since the turn of year in raising funds and carrying out works for Rose Road.  A Gala Dinner, attended by over 250 of Drew Smith’s friends, partners and supply chain, as well as ten of the company’s employees running the ABP Southampton Half-Marathon and 10K. Drew Smith also refurbished the charity’s main kitchen facility and ancillary areas at their Bradbury Centre.

Samuel Doswell of Drew Smith Group added; “We would like to place on record our thanks to all of those who have collaborated with us to support Rose Road thus far.  We are really excited to continue our partnership through the charity's new appeal as we look forward to engaging with our supply chain and general public to build a better future for Rose Road."

Rose Road’s appeal will involve the upgrade and investment in facilities to create a truly special environment at their centre in Aldermoor. Rose Road is operating at almost maximum capacity and the demand is rising; the plans include two new bedrooms, a state of the art sensory room and conservatory as well as extension of the charity’s mezzanine office space.

Drew Smith have committed to design, procure and construct the required works and will charge no profit.

Neil Wilson of Rose Road Association said; “We are very fortunate to have so many amazing supporters from across the Hampshire community and with their help over the next 6 months we hope to achieve our ambitious plans; the impact this project will have is truly life transforming for so many local children and families, please do get in touch and be part of something truly special. Thank you to Drew Smith Group for their wonderful support.”
