Linden Homes creates perfect 'work-from-home' environment
2:49pm Friday 11th November 2011 in Property News
Linden Homes has come up with an extremely innovative way to cut commuting time while eliminating office and workshop rental costs: In their specially designed living and ‘working from home’ one bedroom accommodation, travelling to work involves no more effort than walking down the stairs.
These new one bedroom homes with workspace are based in a quiet corner of the Ocean Village marina in Southampton and are split to provide a cleverly designed living area upstairs, complete with fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, while downstairs there is a spacious and practical work space with its own fully fitted kitchen and cloakroom.
There are only four of these flexible homes available: Each one comes with carpet, flooring, fitted kitchens and bathrooms. The upstairs living area is self contained and lockable and all the homes have their own parking space.
Linden Homes’ marketing manager Tina Chalk says this accommodation would be perfect for someone either currently, or planning on, running a small business, workshop or studio.
“These one bedroom ‘working from home’ residences are ideal for entrepreneurs, innovators, artists and small businesses. They offer convenience, good value and an opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint because the work space and home life are combined. No time is wasted commuting and money isn’t being spent on renting separate work space.”
All of this is surrounded by the vibrant waterside restaurants and bars with prices for these one bedroom homes starting at £175,000.
