McCarthy & Stone site manager, Dan Lampard, is celebrating after scooping a prestigious award for demonstrating outstanding levels of ‘Pride in the Job’.

Having been selected from more than 13,000 entries, Dan was awarded the coveted accolade from the National House-building Council (NHBC) for a second year in a row after displaying exemplary levels in site management skills at McCarthy & Stone’s Catherine Court development in Eastleigh.

The Pride in the Job quality awards are run as part of the NHBC campaign to reward the best site managers in the UK, and are only awarded after a year of strict judging, including spot checks on the day-to day running of the sites and each candidate being assessed across 38 areas of site management.

Aileen King, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone commented: “At McCarthy & Stone we are particularly proud of our developments, and the high-quality build that our customers have come to expect from us. Dan is an excellent example of a site manager who takes that ideal and makes it a reality. We could not be happier that his commitment and dedication has been recognised in this way.”

Dan, who has been with McCarthy & Stone for two years, will now go forward to a regional competition this Autumn, where he could be in line to win a Seal of Excellence or regional award.

Dan added: “It’s a very special feeling to be singled out as being one of the best, but I really have to give credit to the great team and the contractors who work with me, as they have made all the difference in making this development what it is.

“I am very proud of what we have achieved at Catherine Court over the last two years, and I hope that by my winning this award, many more visitors will be attracted to come and see the quality properties on offer.”

Available exclusively for those over the age of 70, Catherine Court is designed to provide a safe and secure environment where continued independence can be enjoyed without the need to relinquish home ownership.
