NICOLA Caldwell has gained some office experience since leaving Southampton Solent University and is looking to find a job in administration to kick-start her career.
The 21-year-old from Freemantle in Southampton has found it tough since gaining her degree in the summer.
She said: “I’ve got work experience in administration because I thought that would help but it hasn’t so far.
“It was a month-long temporary contract but people want a lot more experience.”
Nicola went to Regents Park Community College where she gained nine GCSEs before going to Taunton’s College to add one A level, two AS levels and a BTEC.
She said: “I’ve got a degree in journalism but I’m looking for administration work.
“I just think it would be good to get into a job at the moment.
“The jobs market is rubbish though,” she adds.
“Everyone wants experience and if you’ve just come out of university you’ve not really got it.”
