REDBOURN CRICKET CLUB guaranteed their place in Division Three next season with 18 bonus points in a draw with Letchworth, staving off any relegation worries.
An opening stand of 170 between Duncan Ferguson (103) and Gary Bartlett (69) enabled Redbourn to declare at 216-5 after 48 overs, leaving Letchworth 52 overs to get the runs.
The Redbourn bowlers tossed the ball up, to encourage Letchworth to make a game of it, but they never really committed themselves to the chase, and settled for 187-8 at the close.
Left-arm spinner Wayne Smith was, once again, Redbourn's most effective bowler, finishing with 5-63 in 25 overs.
