NO

FROM the Chilean director, Pablo Larraín, comes No, a heart-warmingly human story of struggle against the oppression and dictatorship of Chilean General Augusto Pinochet.

Starring BAFTA nominated Mexican star of the silver screen, Gael García Bernal, No tells the story of the 1988 nationwide vote campaign from the public that would spark a revolution for the country.

Bernal plays René, the leader of the campaign which encouraged the nation of Chile to vote no to the General’s referendum and end the dictatorship.

The Chilean drama was initially released at Cannes Film Festival in 2012 and has since been released in the UK and you can now have the chance to see this tale of nationwide revolution at the Everyman Cinema in Winchester as it’s screened by Winchester Film Society on Tuesday night.
