A MUSICAL collision of old and new, Shanty Clash, brings together high-energy contemporary urban performance and folk heritage.
Southampton Solent University welcomes an innovative community event from renowned artist, Annika Ström, which will merge maritime heritage and modern music in the heart of the city.
Shanty Clash takes place in Guildhall Square tomorrow from 7pm. The free event will acknowledge the 175th Anniversary of Southampton’s Port through an experimental sparring of ancient choral sea shanties and beat boxing DJ performances calling on a number of renowned professional artists.
