THE countdown to Christmas has officially started with the opening of Paultons Park Christmas Wonderland.

The Hampshire-based theme park, has been sprinkled with festive sparkle and has become home to a Christmas Wonderland, complete with a snowy grotto.

Elves greet you at the entrance to the attraction before you wind your way through a fairy-light lit enchanted wonderland packed with singing elves, sleeping polar bears and even a yeti.

The enchanting stroll through the wonderland also sees reindeer get in on the action as they sing and dance a festive welcome to the grotto itself.

The highlight is saved until the end when youngsters get the chance to meet Santa Claus himself sat beside his fire, there’s time for a brief chat and quick photo opportunity before the youngsters are presented with a wrapped present which is age appropriate.

Your ticket also includes access to the park where many of the rides are still running, including Peppa Pig World, which too has a festive feel.

A towering Christmas tree is the most noticeable addition, but a look around the little pig’s world also sees the addition of Father Christmas and his sleigh.

Peppa and George also drop in to meet the children wrapped up in their coats and hats.

The attraction opened last weekend and families can now book time slots for the Christmas Wonderland, but dates are selling out fast.
