CELEBRATE one of Britain’s greatest culinary delights and the town’s famous crop at the Watercress Festival tomorrow.
The event draws together the local community and food-lovers from far and wide. The entire centre of New Alresford in Hampshire becomes a huge street festival, with Hampshire Farmers’ Market and others creating a large food event showcasing the very best local producers.
Award-winning and well known local chefs share their passion for watercress during cookery demonstrations throughout the day.
There is also a festival market, music, dance, performers and a parade with the Watercress King and Queen who sit atop a horse and cart.
