TENS of thousands of visitors flocked to Romsey for the town’s annual show.
This year’s Romsey Agricultural and Horse Show honoured those who gave their lives in the Battle of Britain.
Among the highlights were a flypast of historic aircraft and displays to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and the Chariots of Fire carriage driving team.
Hundreds of horses, cattle and sheep competed for prizes and a place in the ever-popular grand parade, alongside show jumping and displays of goats organised by the Hampshire Goat Society. Trade stands sold out early at Saturday’s event at Broadlands.
Show secretary Annie Carder said: “Numbers were a little down at first in the morning but it picked up later when the sun came out and was lovely in the afternoon.
“The Chariots of Fire were excellent and we had a lovely turnout of cattle and sheep this year.”
