At Southampton City Art Gallery… SPECIALISTS in film education, City Eye, are running a one day filmmaking workshop for six to 11 year olds today. The day will include the chance to learn and have fun using animation, drama and green screen - as used for all sorts of special effects including making superheroes fly!

Youngsters can make their own film which will be included in a DVD memento of the workshop day.

A host of exhibitors ranging from flowers, photography, cakes, dresses, jewellery and accessories, stationery, venues, entertainment, fitness, beauty, décor and car hire will be on hand to talk through your plans. There will be lots of treats for sale on the day as well as samples, trials and special offers.

At Antico, Southampton… A DINNER party in honour of the legendary British ocean Liner RMS Queen Mary has been arranged by the restaurant and the Southampton Ocean Liner Exhibition.

A mini exhibition about the liner will be on display on Wednesday, including a very rare model of the ship and the menu will be themed on the original Queen Mary menu.

David Treasure-Jones, son of the last captain of the Queen Mary, is the guest speaker and guests are invited to bring along any personal Queen Mary mementos.
