TV presenter Denise Van Outen jetted back from Dubai and headed straight for a family day out at Hampshire’s Peppa Pig World.

It was a far cry from her beach holiday in the sun as Denise, 37, and husband Lee Mead took two-year-old daughter Betsy to meet her cartoon favourites.

Instead of soaking up the sun, Denise was wrapped up to keep out the wind and rain that threatened to mar their trip to Paultons Park.

But little Betsy was delighted to meet life-sized versions of the characters from the Channel 5 show.

And the trio joined Peppa Pig and new characters Zoe Zebra and Suzy Sheep on a series of rides at the New Forest theme park.

Denise, Betsy and musical actor Lee, 30, who is due to star in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Mayflower this year, were being given a sneak preview of the two new characters before their official debut at the end of May.
