AT LAVERSTOKE PA RK FARM… THE charity that operates the last flying Vulcan has donated an appearance in Hampshire this weekend to help raise money for Children in Need.
The famous delta-winged aircraft will make a spectacular appearance at CarFest South on Sunday.
CarFest is the idea of Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans whose passion for music, cars and food have driven the development of two family events in the south and north.
AT THE AGEAS BOWL… TUESDAY sees Hampshire welcome back South Africa for the first time since the ground’s very first ODI back in 2003. England take them on in a day-night fixture – the second of the NatWest ODI Series.
For England fans, this match is the second and final chance to see the team on the south coast in 2012 and, following an Ian Bell-led demolition of the West Indies in June, the team will be full of confidence going into the match. With two of the most passionate sets of fans in world sport this match should be an event to savour.
AT FORT NELSON, FAREHAM… IT’S all about the Second World War this weekend. Take part in jive dancing, enjoy a vintage market and experience gun firings on Sunday and Monday.

AT LEE RECREATION GROUND, LEE-ONTHE- SOLENT… CONTINUE the Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a picnic and fireworks display, tomorrow from 2pm. Wave your Union Jack and enjoy a host of best of British themed stalls and activities.
IN THE SOLENT… HARDY Dragon boat enthusiasts will paddle approximately 30 miles in aid of the RNLI on Monday. Launching at Lee-on-the-Solent , Hurricane Dragonboat Club members, supported by Lee On Solent Sailing Club, will set off via the Needles to Lymington .
The challenge has never been attempted before in tidal waters and will involve dragon boats setting off with drummers on board. The Needles Challenge gets under way at 9.30am.
AT ST MARY’S CHURCH, SOUTHAMPTON… A SHOWCASE from new baby and toddler dance and fitness class Movin Monkeez, a treasure hunt, face painting, cakes and prizes. Families are invited to the NCT Southampton Branch summer fete tomorrow between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. IN BROCKENHURST… THE Hampshire Caledonian Pipe Band will lead the procession to the Brockenhurst Carnival and Fun Day on bank holiday Monday.
A colourful cavalcade of floats will set off at 1pm towards the sports field of Brockenhurst College.
AT FAREHAM SHOPPING CENTRE… SHOPPERS can experience eco-friendly small cars at the Small & Green Car Show, which runs until Sunday.
A parade of fuel-efficient models from the likes of Nissan, Toyota, Ford , Suzuki, Skoda, Renault and Hyundai will be on show throughout the mall.
AT FREEMANTLE COMMON...
FAIRGROUND rides, the British Army and police and live music by The Slurs and The Skore, pictured. It’s all on hand at the annual fun day hosted by the Friends of Westwood, tomorrow between midday and 6pm.
