Tickets will be available very soon so please show your interest. Hot meal & Mojito cocktail will be included in the cost... all looking to be a fab night
The family fun day arrangements are underway and further deatils will follow soon. I have decided the best time to do this would be in May next year so loads of time to enlist the help and support of some locals who would like to contribute to a great event. I want this to be a big fair type event, with some salsa dancing displays, kiddies stall, a hog roast, and some craft stalls.. so anyone who can help out on the day with a bouncy castle perhaps would be appreciated.
The Club will hold a quiz night for me now, which I have to set a date for soon.
Anyway.. don't hesitate to contact me with any other ideas you might have! Thanks
Hamble Social Club in Hamble Lane have kindly agreed to allow me to hold fundraising events there, so my next venture is to arrange a Cuban Style Fun Day one Sunday afternoon.
I need someone who does bouncy castles to donate one for the day to help raise funds.. Anyone who in return for a mention on here and in future articles in The Echo paper please help a worthy cause.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I have a few but would love feedback on what else to do too.
Contact me on 0794 77 55 269 for further info or to donate something that can be raffled on the tombola stall
Thanks for all the support I have had so far
A mention goes to Halfords Near Fareham for kindly servicing my bike for free and donating a new helmet, gloves, drink bottle & Gel seat cover
Due to the slow pace of my fundraising and seemingly appathetic support I have had no choice but to transfer now onto the Cuba 2008 ride.. all details of the cause I am riding for are the same, just a later event.
This one goes through Bay of Pigs, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Topes de Collantes & Santa Clara. The land of Che Guevara!
It will give me extra time now to get fit and raise all the neccesary funds.. so come on everyone show your support please.
Well the curry night wasn't a great success... Although I must say the food was lovely and it all seemed to be going great even though I only managed to sell 30 tickets somehow. Out of which 27 turned up on the night.
But when it came to the end of the night the owner of Tandoori demanded I pay for 40 people!! Obviously I was pretty miffed by this so said
"I'll come and talk to you tomorrow about this"
I went back with an envelope with enough cash in for 30 people as felt it was wrong for them to be asking for me to pay for 10 extra that I didn't even sell! To which the owner replied
"Fine, I won't be doing anymore charity for you"
