WATFORD'S hopes of cup glory lasted 89 minutes at Vicarage Road after they had taken the lead and all but out-played Everton in the first half. But the Premiership side came back to take the tie.
Watford took a deserved half-time lead as Tommy Mooney registered his 15th goal of the season mid-way through a half in which the Hornets enjoyed the upper hand.
